Mission: M8-A: Kzinti War - Recon from Hell
Location: Various locations on the Achilles
Timeline: MD 14 - following mission briefing

Once the meeting was over with, the resident Andorian, made a bee line to the Astrometric lab to run all the data that the D'ama, Ba'al, Achilles, and the station sensor had gathered. Sam briefly paused as she stepped up to the wall, and paged her aid, Chief Landau.

"Neela here, ma'am" returned the Bajoran

"Chief, can you meet me in the Achilles Astrometric lab, please?"

"Understood, ma'am" Landau returned and end the comm.

With that, the Andorian Science chief of the D'ama, released the push to talk button. She turned and was about to proceed to the nearest lift when she was greeted by a brick wall of a Klingon man, the same one that demanded her to move. She looked up at the barbarian and snarled at him.

"What do you want?" she snarled at Matlh

HoS'a' struggled to find the words in the Federation language, "Why Klingon service? Why not Andorian, or other Federation craft?"

"Klingons are willing to take risk, to make a point known, unlike some within the Federation Science department. They don't want to risk any sort of material and what not to prove theories and the like. I had to do things that are still frowned upon by those in that department. Plus, I was going nowhere in rank and career, not until I came aboard the D'ama" Sam stated to Matlh in his tongue, so he didn't have to bother speaking in standard "also, with each passing day, I'm deciding to drop my federation ties to be a part of the Empire full time."

Sam took a step up to Matlh and jab a finger into his chest, knowing he could more than likely break her in half, but, the day she meet him for the first time, she wanted nothing more than to prove to him she was worthwhile, and not some mere person to be pushed around, or a typical Starfleeter.

"So, mister big and bad," she stated bluntly in Klingonese as she stepped up onto her toes to try to look him in the eyes "you, my staff, and whomever else the captain and first officer, wants to add, in hunting down the Kzinti, and striking back at those peta'Q. So, if you plan on doing whatever to me, make it quick, I got things to do, and people to send to hell and bring honor back to the crew of D'ama."

She knew she was over stepping things at this point, but, she had a liking being with the brick wall that stood before, but she wasn't going to let on, that she liked the man. She was trying to prove to him she was like any other Klingon woman.

HoS'a' Grinned broadly, "ToH!" He slapped her hard on the shoulder. Even though she braced against it, it was hard not to be moved by the blow. "It is as I thought; you have the fire of a warrior in you and you hear the call of battle."

He shifted back into halting English, "This language... it is expected... for an Officer. You will help me?"

Sam rubbed her shoulder in which Matlh slaps as she smiled at him and nodded her head "Of course, I will help you big lug"

"Maj! [Good] Your work I give you. The Assault briefing... I am needed."

Again the resident Andorian of the D'ama, nodded her head as she watched the warrior depart, but when she thought about she could use his help with things only a person trained in military tactics would know.

"Perhaps" she yelled for him as she ran towards him. Once she came up to his side she looked up to him "you can help me with figuring out how we can get back at these dishonorable peta'Q. I know near next to nothing on tactic, except the disruptors go bang and smash upon the enemy shields or hull"

The last bit was meant to humorous "So, what you say, Hos'a'? You help me and I help you, and the first three rounds on me."

HoS'a' looked confused, "The basic tactic is to fire all your weapons onto a single target till it is destroyed. If it fires back, you fire again. If it damages something, that is the engineers job to fix. So you keep firing to buy them more time. Simple, direct, and effective."

"Wonderful" she returned and stepped off with his first listen in speaking Federation standard "The key to understanding federation standard is..."

[Astrometric lab]

Oz was out of his element but everyone had to step up and everyone included him. He looked up as the door to the lab opened and a very attractive Andorian walked in. Thinking to himself, ~Easy Oz...don't blow it~ . He put on his best smile. "Can I help you?"

She was glad to have Matlh accompany her to the lab, but, felt sad that he had to meet with the Captain and XO of the D'ama, and to end their time of learning Federation Standard and Military Tactics. Of course, she had made plans to meet up with her newest friend, for a drink. As door opened to the lab, Sam was greeted by someone speaking to her.

"Yes you can, sir" she stated "We're here to use the lab to determine the next course of action that, both the crew of the Achilles and D'ama, are going to take against the Knziti, by reviewing sensor data, plus, to determine if there is a best way to detect them while there in silent running or to putting normally, while their cloaked."

Sam turned around as the door open again, to see Neela entered, and she nodded her to her friend, before looking back to Sascha, and snapped her fingers, when she forgot to add who she was.

"Lt JG Sa'matelaah Kata, but you can call me Sam, if you like. This is Chief Neela Landau, my aid. We're both assigned to the D'ama"

Neela looked to the Lieutenant and nodded her head, before she looked to Sam.

"Shall I begin uploading the data, ma'am" The warrant officer stated

"Yes please, Chief" Sam returned with a kind and gentle smile

Landau walked up to a terminal and began down loading the sensor data from the D'ama and the information from Ba'al's shuttles. A moment later, Neela and the others were greeted with a beep and a disembodied female voice.

"Data transfer complete" the voice stated as Neela, looked to the large screen, her fingers touched button after button to place the sensor data onto the big screen.

Sam, the Andorian science chief of the D'ama, looked up onto the large display. She knew, this was an impressive sight to behold, but, she didn't show it; as she examined the information in full.

"Well, first off" she stated as she placed her right hand onto chin as her eyes took in the display "these blasted cloaks the Knziti are deploying, is most differently a combo of known cloak capable civilization. Certain particles that are being emitted show signs of Romulan type device, but it's odd. I don't see the normal Quantum drift that goes along with a Romulan device, which, in my mind suggests, that the Knziti might have found alter the quantum singularity device.

"Sadly, we don't have time to truly determine what type device their using. The particles on the other hand we can use to pin point at course of action." She gestured to the red streaks "each of these particles are emitting the same magnetic wave pattern and ion decay. They’re pointing in the general direction of where these ships are heading. Neela, draw us lines and were ever they intersect and high light it."

Neela with a nod of her head, Landau, did as ordered.

Once the task was done, several small squares circle the intersection and the center shown that it was nothing more than empty space, Sam, crossed her arms as she again puzzled over the latest data.

"Hmmmm...at least we narrowed it down to at least several hiding places, Lieutenant?"

Ozwald thought about trying to impress her but knew he would only seem like an idiot. Instead he tried another approach to seeing if he could caulk up a few points. "To be honest Astrometrics, isn't my strong suit. I'm...on loan you might say from the life sciences. I was actually working on a way to incapacitate the Kzinti without rendering everyone unconscious."

[En route to Cargo Bay 3]

Charg wanted to get his hand on tht Kzinit computer core that Captain da`nal had mentioned. From the report he read as he walked the then Chief Engineer had thought he had managed to break the Kzinti codes, but had been killed before he could put them to the test.

While he waited for the next lift he heard footsteps behind him. Turning he saw the civilian that Da`nal had appointed Chief Engineer. "Greetings Doctor, congratulations on your appointment."

"Ah. Thank you." Doctor Oakheart replied, looking up from the scrawled notes on a beaten up leather-bound notepad. With a pencil clenched in his teeth, he flipped the pad closed and stowed the pencil in the rings to wait for the lift. He smiled politely, but he didn't say much more. He had no idea who half of anybody was on the ship - he just knew the job he was supposed to do.

Before the silence grew too long Charghwl continued. "I am Charghwl'IH XO of the IKS D`ama. While you and the other survivors were being recovered from the station I was leading a team near station operations. We found several areas the indicated that both the primary and redundant power and network connections to the stations command and control was severed by explosive charges. We cut away and salvaged many of the areas and had them transported to the Dama. Most of them survived the battle with the Kzinti and are in the cargo bay with captured Kzinti computer core. I'd be interested in your opinion."

Stepping into the lift as the doors opened he announced his destination, "Deck 5".

Once they arrived and the cargo bay Charg found one of the sections from the Star base to show the engineer what they had found. Showing his the damage and how specific it was, "The other sections are exactly the same."
