Mission:
M13-C: Shattered Time
Location: CO's Quarters
Entering his quarters Da`nal removed his baldric and tossed it over the back of the chair as he moved to his desk. The walk from Engineering had taken some time but it had been needed and had helped him organize his thoughts.
"Computer begin recording.
Captain's Log Stardate: 70087.8
Our mission to explore the unknown reaches of the Alpha and Gamma quadrants, while having begun tediously uneventful has become anything but. Forward patrols came upon a subspace anomaly only to discover a ship of unknown design and origin as well as a starship with markings of the Terran Empire, both showing no signs of life.
Currently there are away teams dispatched to secure and examine both vessels and hopefully some answers will be found to explain How a ship of the Terran Empire found its way into our reality.
On top of this it was discovered that we had been harboring a fugitive in our ranks. Lieutenant Commander Fanvo Adtanis had volunteered for our mission in order to hide from the authorities. Having reprogrammed the communications buoys to filter out and distort any attempt to inform us of his...status; making any gap appear as a malfunction or interference. His is now in our brig and once our current situation is resolve he will be sent home by way of a class 9 probe to be met by the USS Granger.
These matters aside the ships and crews have performed above expectations though I have a feeling their first true test is yet to come.
"Computer end recording and store for the next transmission to command."
"Log stored and scheduled for transmission."
As the computer's acknowledgement came through the door opened an Ayren entered. With a hand on her hip she picked up his baldric. "Still just tossing your things around?"
With a half grin he replied. "If I didn't; you would think something was wrong."
Dropping the sash where she had found it she moved around behind him and slipped he arms around him. She knew he felt uneasy but even her empathic senses could narrow down the cause. "What's wrong?"
Taking her arms in his hands as a subtle growl rumbled in his throat. "I'm not sure. I feel an anxiousness as if it were the eve of a great battle but there is nothing out there...yet."
Ayren grinned leaning her head into his. "There is an old saying; 'do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.' Whatever is going to come will come and when it does you will face it as you always have."
Releasing her arms he spun his chair as he stood back as he moved to face her as he tapped his commbadge. "Da`nal to bridge. Any change in sensor readings or and problems reported by the away teams?"
=/\= Negative on both sir. Everything's quiet. =/\=
"Very well, take us to yellow alert, but keep all weapons at the ready. I don't want us to be caught off guard in case something does happen. Da`nal out." Looking up and Ayren he grinned. "So whats for dinner?"
