Mission: M-14 New Beginings
Location: Messhall
Timeline: MD 1 - 1600

ON:

Voric had left the Captain's ready room and wanted to check in with the executive officer. He then asked, "Computer locate Commander Th'raran."

The computer chimed, "Lieutenant Commander Th'raran is in the Mess Hall."

Voric nodded and made his way to the mess hall.

Cevel was sitting in the Mess Hall after having his check in with the Engineering department. A tray was in front of him with some mashed potatoes and gravy and some Hari (Andorian flatroot) and some flatbread sitting on it.

He arived at the mess hall and saw an Andorian with a red command uniform wearing the rank of Lieutenant Commander and knew that had to be the XO. He walked up and said, "Excuse me, sir, are you Lieutenant Commander Cevel Th'raran?" Voric was a bit nervous.

Cevel finished his bit of mashed potatoes and turned to the man who had just interrupted his lunch. He nodded slightly and then realized where he had seen this particular Vulcan before, "Yes Lieutenant Miller. How may I help you?"

"Pardon my interruption, but I was wondering when a good time would be to check in with you, Commander." Voric had felt he crossed a pilot line now.

Cevel shrugged, "I prefer not to have my lunch interrupted, but I suppose now is as good a time as any."

Voric then handed the First Officer the orders for the USS Phoenix from Starfleet and remained at attention

Cevel took the PADD and glanced at it for a long moment then looked up at the Lieutenant, "At ease and take a seat Lieutenant."
"This is your first posting as a SecTac officer," He said, not as a question but stating a fact, "Are you ready for the change of position?"

"it is, sir. I'm ready for it. This will be exciting!" Voric said

Cevel nodded, made a few mental notes and then said, "Do you have any questions I can answer for you?

"No, Commander I don't have any questions, except do you know when we depart out into space?" Voric asked

"The Captain will set up a briefing of senior staff members once we receive our orders. I am unaware at the moment as to when the briefing will be though." Cevel said as he eyed his food.

"You are dismissed Lieutenant, and have a good day." He finished curtly before beginning to eat his food again

Voric nodded and said, "Aye, Commander" Then he left the XO. s

Cevel nodded as he watched the Lieutenant leave and then returned to eating his food.
