Holodeck
ON
Webb exhausted, dropped his sword, “Computer end program.†The jungle surroundings now became a series of conduits and series of grids. Webb left the holodeck in route to the ships quartermaster. By the time Webb got to his new quarters, his belongings had already been transported there by DS5. Webb began taking it off his uniform as he walked to the sonic shower. After his shower he put on a pair of his sleeping pants and flopped on the bed. He tilted his head toward the nightstand where the padd lay. He picked up the padd and placed it on his bare chest…..
"Record. Personal Log."
“I met my Captain and my supervisor today. It was a less than a favorable beginning. They do not have any trust in me, I will have to earn it. The captain appears to be Klingon and does not like to be stared at. For the record, I was not staring at him. I was just trying to make good eye contact, that’s what they said at the academy. Anyway, he is very blunt and to the point. He thinks that everything is an excuse. He looks like someone that you do not want to make angry.â€
“My Department Head, Lieutenant t’pal. I think she is part Vulcan and Klingon perhaps. She is very cold and expressionless, very quiet. I am not sure how to read her. From my short time in the Ready Room with them, I get the impression that they work well together.â€
Pause….
Tim put down the padd and sat up. He suddenly realized that he was famished. Tim stood up and walked over to the replicator. “ Meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, a side salad and……Ice tea….sweetened.†The food items appeared at the slot near the bottom of the replicator. Tim retrieved the items and sat down at his desk. “Panel on,†the panel came to life. “ Display record, Webb, Timothy.â€
