Personal History Alorha crew up on Ronin 2, a colony which was ceded to the Cardassians. She grew up with anarchy, constant threat from Cardassians, poverty and neglect. She had an inquisitive mind and 'operated' on bugs and dead animals and birds and whatever else she could find. Her dream was to become a medical doctor and to help with the lacking medical facilities on her world. However, orphaned, she had to fend for herself and often skipped school. When she was twelve, she ran away again from her foster home with a friend. The easiest way to survive was to sell her young body. It was the beginning of the end for her on her home planet.

A crime boss who was a regular client, became more and more violent, until Alorha used a kitchen knife to stab him through his jugular. She had to flee and bought herself a passage on a trade ship. She left her only friend behind and made her way into Federation space.

For two years she worked on the trade ship, the only way she knew how to, and prepared herself to apply for Starfleet medical. Her endurance paid off and she passed the entrance exam.

She qualified as a medical doctor, but along the way, she became very interested in forensic medicine and while on assignment as a medical officer, she completed her masters in forensic science. As part of her masters, she developed an organic micro gel, untraceable to most scans, which could be used by crime prevention and investigation agencies. The microscopic thin gel is sprayed on a target container, object or even person, to catch trace particles, DNA, amino acids, ect, which could be used in a court of law as evidence. Starfleet security and Starfleet Intelligence as well as some other agencies utilize this gel. This was her proudest accomplishment.

Her second assignment was on DS5, where she was nearly killed when the family of the man she had killed had found her. Starfleet had recommended for her to take a position on the IKC VaQbach as it would be far more difficult to find her.

There she served as a Science Officer, and enjoyed the relative safety of being on a Klingon battle cruiser. There for the first time, she faced the emotional baggage from her past. Not only did Commodore Kretorg of the House of Torath, the CO knew her past and appointed her as crew anyway, but his brother, Karagh, son of M'urgh accepted her and loved her. Her life there was not without incident and she was kidnapped again by a tracker who worked for the brother of the man she had murdered. Karagh and a pilot risked their lives to recue her. Kretorg had also arranged for her enemy to be "taken care of". With her enemy finally out of the picture, she decided to return to the Federation when the VaQbach went on a 10 year mission into the Beta Quadrant. In her mind, it was the only way to finally put her past behind her.

She had met Ayren Kelan before and they were friends, so when the CMO position on the Achilles opened she applied.
