Personality & Traits

General Overview Karrak, like most Gorn is bound to a code of honor, similar to the Klingons. He is new to Starfleet, the first Gorn to be part of them. He is somewhat naive to human custons, (see Hobbies and Interests) and is a space cowboy.

The Gorn are strongly territorial, which is why they attacked the Federation colony on Cestus III.
Strengths & Weaknesses Karrak is very strong, and skilled in hand-to hand combat. Like the Terran alligator, he is normally sluggish, but can move very fast if motivated. He will find the weaponry of the starship quite comfortable to him.

He is still quite naive, and does have a temper that is very foolish to provoke. It can get him into trouble.
Ambitions Karrak hopes to make a name for himself in Starfleet, and he was told by the Admiral there at the Academy that if he is not at command grade within twenty years, he will send five very angry Nausicans to beat him up. So he hopes to advance in Starfleet.
Hobbies & Interests Karrak has an interest in the Old West. He has seen several old movies by John Wayne, who he idolizes as a great warrior. He has a holodeck program where he acts out several scenarios in the Old West, and considers himself quite the cowboy.

Personal History Karrak was born, or hatched on the Gorn homeworld. When carried out of the rookery by his parents, a rare occurence happened. A tra'nark, a large red bird with a long tail flew over and a feather dropped down, which he caught.

It was seen as an omen, as the Tra'nark was known as the bird of destiny. It was part of a prophecy of the Tra'nark lo-Zalath, one who would cause great changes within the Gorn, and great fortune to them.

That, and the fact of his ancestry, put great pressure to live up to the legacy, put great pressure on the young Gorn. At the age of 50, which is still young for a Gorn, he stowed away on a merchant ship and ran away, not knowing that was actually what set his destiny in motion.

He ended up on Earth, the first Gorn to come there, and was taken in to Starfleet where he was examined. He was unwilling to go back, and was considered by them to be the key to opening relations with the Gorn.

Soon, he was enrolled in Starfleet Academy, where he majored in Tactics and Security and minored in Diplomacy, as he was told he could be a liason between the Federation and the Gorn.

It was there at the Academy that he had a spiritual awakening, and accepted his role that had been decreed for him in the past.

He would be assigned to the Achilles as his first assignment.
Service Record Karrak graduated with honors at Starfleet Academy, and was assigned to the Achilles. This is his first assignment. He would be under the command and instruction of the Chief of Security.
