Hello TF47,

I hope all of you had a great holiday season and are getting things ready for an awesome 2013. If there is anything I can do to help let me know. And to expedite any assistance please add me to you simm site so you can contact easier, ICly, etc. I feel the more ways I can make myself available the better. Please make that addition as soon as possible. Also I am still making updates to the TF website, please check your simms information to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Now to a more serious matter. An unfortunate incident arose on one of the simms in our glorious Task Force. I will not go into the details here, but to prevent any future issues I want to make certain some things are clear to all. Before I get to them I want everyone to know that this isn't me coming down on anyone but are either the offical fleet or my position on certain issues.

Correction of spelling errors:
Any player can correct an obvious spelling error. This is not a personal attack or insult, but another playering offer assistance. We have all had instances where we are thinking faster than we are typing and misspell a word.

Altering of another players addition:
This is not allowed without permission. Again we have all written or have seen instances where another has written something that just doesn't make sense and takes a minute to figure out. In these cases - an OOC comment, a PM, or an email to let the individual know of the situation is preferred. The only person that is authorized to alter or relocate another player's addition, without permission, is the CO. The need for a CO to step in and make these alterations are usually very rare and only to either deal with unusual circumstances or a players absence.

Homosexual Character relationships:
While there may be persons who find this subject morally objectionable, per fleet policy there is to be NO discrimination of any kind (see OF's EEO policy, Measure 055, 5.3.2). The only restriction on posting is the same restriction that applies to any IC heterosexual relationship, in that the content of the post must comply with the simm's age rating.

Player privacy:
While some, if not most, of us don't mind our real names being used; there are some that do. This wish for privacy is not an attempt to hide, nor does it make a person dishonest. Some players just like to get away from real life for a moment and this is how they get away. The individual's privacy is to be respected and protected without exception.

Harassment of other players:
Per fleet policy (Measure 055, 5.3.3) this will NOT be tolerated. There is to be No cyber-bullying, NO badgering, NO labeling, NO defamation…you get the point. For the most part I believe that everyone gets along just fine. However it is impossible for any group of people to agree about everything every time. When disagreements occur, and they will, remember this – "Tact is the ability to make a point without making an enemy."

Finally let me remind everyone that I am not targeting any one person with this announcement, but hopefully this will keep any additional problems from developing in the future. Now with all this said, let's get back to doing what we enjoy. Let's all have an Awesome January and an even better 2013!!
