I have just received word that I will be transferring posts. I will be leaving Deep Space Two and be assigned to the USS Phoenix.
This is not a surprise as I put in a transfer request several months ago. The surprise comes from the fact that I am being assigned to the Phoenix as the new Executive Officer. I was not aware I was being considered for anything more than a new Chief Intelligence posting. I leave in two weeks for the Phoenix. I looked into the Phoenix, the commanding officer is one Captain Ricardo Montoya. His service jacket is impressive with services on several starbases and several ships, including a Century class. He is my age and has had a distinguished career. I look forward to meeting him and I look forward to this new posting, as I do every posting.
